Appearance of the Maya
Mayans had a different definition of beauty than we do. Many things were done to make you meet the standards of beauty. When they were babies their heads were pressed to make their heads longer. Also noses were purposely broken to add curvature.
The clothing worn by men were things called loincloths. Women wore long dresses going to their ankles.
Ears, lips, tongues, and noses were pierced at young ages. The men and the women wore many different kinds of jewelry. Mayans did these things so they would be beautiful.

Elongated heads and curved noses were considered attractive.
