Pegasus

It is said that the pegasus sprang from the blood dripping neck of Gorgan Medusa after her head was cut off by Perseus. This beautiful winged horse was rode by Bellerophon, and helped to kill the dragon, Chimera. Although you might think that this great mythological creature is the same as its cousin, the unicorn, it is different. Unlike unicorns, pegasus have wings and they don't always have horns on their forheads. They are very beautiful creatures. Click here to go back to the horse page.
