Dragons

Dragons are ferocious and powerful. Some dragons breathe fire or poison, others have breath that freezes adversary. Some dragons guard treasures or possess magical powers. Dragons come in many different colors. The most common are black, red, green and white.They can be good or evil. Europeans dragons are usually evil, and Asian dragons are usually good. In the U.S., the type of dragons that were believed in were: Serpent dragons and Serpent whales, Kitchi-at'husis, giant leech, & piasa. A relative to the dragon is the Chimera. Chimeras have the body of a lion, the tail of a Serpent, a goats head protruding from the back. Another description of a chimera is that it has the head, mane and legs of a lion, the body of a goat, and the tail of a dragon. The last description of the Chimera is it having a goat head, dragon head and lion head with goat body.In folk tales, the Chimera was slain by Bellerophon who was riding on a pegusas in the process.
