Tundra
The Tundra is bitter cold. It
is the coldest biome and the farthest north.
There are very few plants and animals there also.
It’s a part of northern Canada, Europe, and Asia.
The four seasons here are very different.
Winters are dark all day. There
is a lot of precipitation, 10-50 centimeters on average. The average
temperatures are –70 degrees- 20 degrees Fahrenheit.
Summer is well still cold but much cooler.
The temperature range is 30 degrees- 60 degrees Fahrenheit.
Animals are few and far between.
The most common animals are Musk Oxen, Artic Fox, and Snowy Owl.
The animals have a thick fur coat to protect them for the cold.
Animals raise there young the quickest of any other biome because of
demanding survival needs.
Plants here are also scares.
Lichens, Mosses and shrubs are about the only things that can survive.
Because the winters are dark plants cannot be demanding of sunlight.
