Mars is very a very interesting planet! There may even be water on Mars! Nobody knows yet, that would be amazing if there was. Mars received its name from its red color. The month of March comes from Mars. That is an interesting fact!
Mars was discovered a long time ago. The first spacecraft to visit Mars was Mariner 4 in 1965. Though Mars is much smaller than Earth, the surface area is about the same as the land surface area of Earth. A small number of meteorites are believed to have originated from Mars. That is something I did not know.
