Guffey, Texas Post Office


The Post Office in Gladys City was called the Guffey, Texas Post Office. The Post Office was named in honor of James Guffey. He was the wildcatter who helped finance Anthony F. Lucas in successfully drilling Spindletop.



There are two windows in the Post Office. One is for money orders and the other is for mail. There is also a bulletin board to post items of interest.
