The Boom

Howdy, Ya'll!

A new age of human progress was born on January 10, 1901, on a small hill called Spindletop which is located four miles south of Beaumont, Texas. At 10:30 in the morning, the first great oil gusher roared in. Located in a Texas cow pasture, it blew the petroleum industry into the 20th century. It was the boom that shook the world.
