Acknowledgments

THANKS!

We would like to express our appreciation to several people who have helped and inspired us as we worked on our Spindletop website.
  • First, we would like to thank our parents for all of their support. They made extra trips to school to pick us up when we stayed late.

  • Mrs. Kerwood, Ahren's mother, arranged the date and time for us to tour Gladys City.

  • Our parents also got our costumes together, accompanied us to Gladys City, and took many pictures.

  • Ahren's grandparents helped us with our costumes and helped us gather information. Thank you so much!

  • Next, we would like to thank our school librarian, Mrs. Eanes. She provided us with books and other research materials.

  • Thanks to our 6th grade friends who helped us with drawing pictures.

  • We would like to thank Mrs. Cash at our junior high school who converted a VHS video to a digital file so that we could show it on our website.

  • Special thanks goes to our P. E. coaches who allowed us to use our P. E. time to work on our website when it was necessary.

  • We also want to thank our coaches for coming early and staying late to help us on this project. If it wasn't for them, this would not have been possible.

  • Mrs. Lowery helped by keeping us organized and focused on our responsibilities. She used her conference time to work with us on the researching, writing, and editing of the material used within our website. She also critiqued our work and offered many suggestions.

  • Mrs. Louviere supervised the technical development of the website. She advised us on web design, instructed us on using Paint Shop Pro, converted our documents to HTML format, and took charge of uploading our pages to the Thinkquest server.

  • Special thanks goes to Mr. Bill Theriott at KFDM Channel 6 News who gave us permission to use the video clip of the Centennial Celebration.
