There were many activities scheduled to take place for the Centennial Celebration.
These activities allowed people to experience the culture of the early 20th century.
Many booths were set up to demonstrate arts and crafts of that time period. Kelsee
and Kailee participated in some of these arts and crafts activities, and you can see
their creations to the right.
Pottery-making, butter-making, quilting, and how to make cornsilk dolls were
other examples of projects offered.
In addition, there were several art exhibits in Beaumont museums and art galleries that
paid tribute to Spindletop.
There was a real Wells Fargo stagecoach, as well, as an
old-fashioned horse and carriage.
People could actually take rides on these. All kinds
of good food was available for people to purchase. Everyone gained a better understanding
of what life was like in the early 1900's.
