We're all 5th grade students at Lummis Elementary. We all were in a drawing to decide who was going to be in ThinkQuest Junior. We were the lucky six. Ms. Peters is our teacher.

Starting from the top left the first kid is Jake, the second one is Autumn, the third is me, Ronnie, next to me is Rachael, the girl down under us is another Rachel, and the next boy is Alex. Jake is into skateboards and hockey, Autumn is a talkive person who's into gameboys and soccer, I'm into Electronics, the Rachael next to me is into volleyball and soccer, The other Rachel is into sports, and Alex is into hockey.

About our poetry. All of the poems on this site, not including the Classic poems, were written by us. You'll notice that most of our poems do not rhyme. Instead of rhyming words, we used free verse (or not rhyming). This is because if you are forced to pick rhyming words when you write poems, you are limited to only a few choices. But if you use free verse, you can use any word you want.

All the classic poems we included were written before 1918, to avoid any copyright infringements.

Lummis Elementary is located in Las Vegas, NV. We have about 950 kids at our school. We are also a year round school.

The software we used to build this web site is Dreamweaver and Fireworks 4.
