Howler Monkey

Howler monkeys are one of the largest monkey species. Their powerful roar can be heard over a mile away. They use it for mating and to protect their property.The Indians gave the howler the name 'caraya' which translats into 'chief of the woods'.

The Howler Monkey's have bearded faces a tail they can also brown to bright reddish or black fur.

The Howler Monkey is a herbivore and eats fruits and leaves.
