Respiratory Illnesses

You are what you breathe. Because many of the illnesses with the Respiratory system can be traced back to things we to our lungs. Such things as smoking, working in dusty areas and in air pollution cause respiratory problems that can be prevented. 

Emphysema is a lung disease that causes the lung tissue to die and is directly linked to smoking cigarettes. The lungs get covered with tar from cigarettes and causes the oxygen and carbon dioxide not to be able to pass through the lungs.  

Asthma is a lung disease that is cause by different types of things that the lungs are sensitive to, such as, dust, fumes, gases, exercise, cold air, some foods and many other things. Asthma can lead to death if you are not always prepared for an attack.  

Cystic Fibrosis is a lung disease that is usually found early in life and is a disease where you find very thick secretions. These lung patients have a lot of lung infections and usually die from it.
