Thyme

Thyme is traditionally graced with many strong positive associations, not at all humor though. In England at the Renaissance it was said that thyme could not even be mentioned in one sentence or the conversation would be full of puns. Thyme soon had the term punning thyme Thyme is also used by some beekeepers. Bees are attracted to the plant and that keeps the bees around. Vigil, an ancient Roman poet also kept bees, and praised the honey that the bees due from the plant. Greece and Hybla, Sicily had a great deal of bees and honey because they had such a great amount of thyme.
