Lovage
other names:levisticum officinale, Koch.

both Greeks and Romans used Lovage as a medicine. Than in the middle ages it was used to every one for most illnesses. In central Europe woman would wear lovage around there necks when meeting new lovers. They believed it would help the lovers would like them better. This herb has been used for stomach problems and feverish attacks, in case of of colic or flatulence, in a child. Lovage was also used for gravel, Jaundice, and urinary troubles.
