Foxglove
other names: Purpurea, Linn.

Scrophulariaceae Foxglove is one of the most favored garden plants. The plant is about 2 inch long with a thimble-like flowers with a one-sided spry. The flowers grow on an unbranching branching three-foot stalk. The flowers are surrounded by the leaves that are very useful in medicines. When the plant is used to make a medicine first the leaves are harvested on the second year and begins to flower. The drug is than derived from the leaves of the plant and used primarily for a blood circulation stimulant and for heart diseases. (Use under proper supervision only)
