Dandelion

Although dandelion is a weed it is also used as a tea, medicine. The plant is useful in many ways yet can get annoying to the common farmer. The dandelion has many yellow petals, that loves to grow in lawns, vacant lots, or open fields. Dandelions are often used in foods like salads or vegetable dishes. If you are to make a dandelion salad you should first pluck it's leaves off before the maturity because if not they will be quite bitter. The dandelion should be blanched before using it. There is an alternative, which is to boil or steam the leaves than serve them. The roots are very useful. They are valued roots of most other plants than others. They have good use in the medical world. The roots are often used for tonics, Laxative, diuretic, hepatic, antiscorbutic, sialagogue, aperient, alterative, and stomachic.
