In ancient times there were many countries that had the most powerful army for a short period of time. Then these armies were wiped out by another army. This is what kind of happened to the Persians army after the three Persian Wars. Persian War IFor a short period of time the strongest army was the Persians. Some of their enemies were not happy about this so they thought about attacking the Persian. The Persians knew that they were going to attack so they went to the Athenians and asked for some ships. The Athenians gave them 20 for the battle. When the Persians got attacked for some of their enemies this was the beginning of the Persian War I. Persian War IIOne of their allies the Athenians destroyed the city of Sardis and the Persians did not like this so the Persians attacked there allies the Athenians. The other enemies did not bother to attack because they knew that the Athenians had a powerful army. When the Persians attacked the Athenians this was the start of the Persian War II. Persian War IIIAs you know that the Athenians gave the Persians 20 ships. These ships were used in the battle against the Athenians navy. The Persians lost this war at sea but destroyed a huge part of the Athenians army. This was later called the Persian War III or War At Sea. |
