The Atomic Bomb is a bomb that the Americans made in World War 2.  They made it so it would hopefully stop the war.  They made it out of atoms.  The Americans flew a plane over to a city in Japan called Hiroshima and they dropped the first Atomic Bomb in the center of the city.  They dropped the second Atomic Bomb on a city called Nagasaki.
