How
the Sloth Became So Slow
By Kristen

One day in the ordinary forest of South America, there lived an
ordinary, fast sloth. He
had an ordinary, best friend, who was an ordinary turtle.
You see, Best Beloved, even though these two ordinary animals
were best friends, ordinary Sloth never had time for Turtle.
He was always going too fast and never taking his time.
Ordinary Turtle, Best Beloved, tried to inform Sloth of the great
wonders of the forest, but ordinary
Sloth never listened.
Then one day, Best Beloved, the very ordinary and speedy Sloth
ran into an extraordinary wise Owl.
Owl told Sloth, “Oh, my dear Sloth, why are you rushing?
There’s no reason to rush. Why don’t you try taking your time for
once?”
Sloth stated to Owl, “You see, Owl, it’s hard for me to stop
rushing, but I’ll try because you are the wisest animal you’re
probably correct!”
From that ordinary time of the day, Best Beloved, Sloth took his
time and learned how wonderful the forest was, and how great it was to
relax and take a nap.
One day, Best Beloved, ordinary Turtle asked Sloth to play
“Hide and Seek.” Sloth
thought in his ordinary mind, and he decided he would try one quick,
ordinary game of “Hind and Seek.”
Turtle let Sloth go first. Seeing as though Sloth had been going
ordinarily slow, he knew a magnificent hiding spot!
It took Turtle almost an ordinary hour to find Sloth in his
magnificent hiding spot, Best Beloved.
When Turtle found Sloth, Sloth said to Turtle excitedly,
“ Wow, Turtle, that was lot’s of fun!”
From that ordinary time of the day, Best Beloved, Turtle and
Sloth were truly, ordinary best friends, forever.
They were also the slowest friends around! |
