The Plain Frog
by  Andrew

Arrow was a plain frog, Best Beloved.  He wanted to be something more. “Oh, oh it’s Bob, the snake,” muttered Arrow.  He started to hop as fast as he could, but he knew Bob would catch him.  He started to climb a tree, leaf by leaf, to the top, but the snake snatched him at the top.

Bob started to hurry to the pond with Arrow.   He got to the pond and hung Arrow to the pole in the pond, Best Beloved.  Then Bob tied Arrow up with a dry vine.  However, because it was dry, it was easy to snap the vine.  When Arrow figured it out, he immediately did it.  He tip-toed away, but he accidental snapped a twig, and Bob, the snake, heard it.

Once Bob heard it, he started to slither after Arrow.   Arrow quickly hopped up a tree, but he fell from the top of the tree to the ground.   Arrow didn’t stop hopping until he was safe under a tree, Best Beloved.

Arrow got ready to go to bed under the tree.  He slept for a long time. When he woke up, he saw the tree was knocked down.  He saw that there was a large storm that had torn though the forest.   Arrow saw Bob looking everywhere for him.   Arrow knew he had to get away from there quickly, but he was too late.   Bob grabbed him before he could move, Best Beloved.

“Arrow, I’ve got you now!” Bob hissed.   Arrow was struggling to get away, but it was no use.  Bob got ready to bite Arrow and, in a flash like lightening, Arrow was bitten.  However, Bob was afraid of Arrow, because Arrow didn’t die from he bite!   Arrow leapt at Bob, but Bob was already warning everyone that Arrow was now a poisons frog, Best Beloved.  Today all Arrow frogs are poisonous!
