Poster Board

Construction Paper
Ruler Tape
Scissors Coloring Items
Stickers/Stamps – animal theme (optional)

Directions:

  • Cut a piece of poster board about 8” x 6”

  • Leave a border of about 1” on each side, cut out the inside of the poster board

  • Flip over and tape the long sides and bottom down so that the fold is facing away from you.
  • Out of the construction paper cut a piece about 9 ½” x 6”.
  • Lay the construction paper on top of the poster board so that the top (the 6” width) is just barely over the hole in the center of the poster board.  Fold the extra length up towards you
  • Cut another strip of construction paper 7 ½” x 1 ½”.  Fold it in half like a hot dog
  • Cut another strip of construction paper 1 ½” x 2 ½”.  Fold it in half like a hot dog
  • Fold the short edges of the first strip of construction paper you cut up ½”
  • Fold one short edge of the other strip of construction paper you cut up ½”
  • Fold the longer strip in half like a hamburger.  Tape it down to the fold of the big piece of construction paper so that the edge of one of its folded ends matches up with the edge of the fold on the bigger piece of construction paper
  • Tape the other folded up end about halfway up the back of the frame

  • Tape the fold pf the smaller strip of construction paper so that its fold matches up with the fold in the middle of the other strip.
  • Tape the bottom end down to the fold of the big piece of construction paper so that it is slightly in front of the other strip.
  • If you have a picture that is shorter in height than in width, turn the frame on its side and then follow these instructions. Iif not, just keep.
  • Decorate as you may wish.
