My name is
Elizabeth, and I am a fifth grader at Salford Hills Elementary
School. I love to
hike, bike, jump rope, build model ships, read, write, and just
hang around with my family.
I became interested in ThinkQuest Jr. because I wanted to
make another web page. I
had already made a web page on my father’s side of my family,
so I had some experience with the research and the hard work it
takes to build a web page.
I also love learning new things and thought that this
would be a great opportunity to do so.
I thought that this topic would be neat to research
because I didn’t know much about the hard work that goes into
breeding, training, and taking care of the animals.
I thought that it would be something worth knowing.
While researching, I learned that group cooperation is
worth the finished product that it makes.
I also learned that zoo habitats were not always like
they are now. They
were made of metal bars and concrete, and the animals were very
uncomfortable.
I had a great time researching this web page, and I hope
you’ll enjoy doing some of the crafts we thought up.
I also hope you’ll laugh at our riddles and learn
something about zoos.
Kangaroo (complaining to psychiatrist):
I don’t know what’s the matter with me.
I just don’t feel jumpy anymore.

joke above is from the book Jokes, Puns and Riddles by
David Allen Clark)
