Street closures - they make sure that streets that usually flood are closed when there is a lot of rain.  They also close bridges when they ice over.  They make sure streets are closed during special events.

Architectural services - They make sure that the buildings look good, work properly, and blend well with the city.

Building maintenance - This department makes sure the offices have electricity, running water, central air and heat, and are clean for the employees.

Capital programs division - They make sure all companies working with the city meet minimum standards in their design and construction.  Small companies have a chance to bid for jobs the city needs done.

Environmental services division - This department makes sure hazardous or pollution is taken care of.  They make sure that all city owned facilities are environmentally safe.

Streets and drainages - They make sure that drainages and ditches are not clogged and all public streets are drivable and clean.
