San Antonio Police Department
The San Antonio Police Department protects the citizens of our city. The chief of of our city is Al Philippus. The city police department is an active community supporter. Some of the programs they provide are:
| SAFFE & Community Policing - The police department has officers that only work with a certain community and its leaders to help them keep the community safe. | |
| R.I.T.E. Protect - The department works to keep property crime down and get the property back to its owners. | |
| Youth Explorers - The department works with a program by the Boy Scouts of America by sponsoring groups of children who become Explorers to learn more about being a police officer and volunteering to do community work. | |
| Youth Against Crime - A program for 10-17 year old kids who want to work to make their neighborhood safer. | |
| Cellular on Patrol - A program that trains people from a neighborhood to call the police from special cellular phones and codes to report illegal activity. |
