The current city manager is Mr. Alexander E. Briseno.   Mr. Briseno is retiring.  The city manager is in charge of all city budgets and all city departments.   He reports directly to the City Council to report any budget changes for any of the departments within the city.  He has a staff of assistant managers that are in charge of various departments.  His job is very important.  He is basically responsible for the running of the city's deparments.  As of April 1st, the new city manager will be Terry M. Brechtel.  She had worked for the City of San Antonio for 10 years before becoming the City Manager.
