I had a lot of fun working on the ThinkQuest team. I enjoyed working on the research and learning about different countries. I was on the team with 5 others. We had to work together to decide on certain things for the Web site. Sometimes working together was difficult because we are all different and have different opinions, but we worked things out and finally decided on the name, the subject, and the design of the website. ThinkQuest may seem like something easy to work on, but it is actually difficult to work on. I learned things that I never knew. I am 11 years old and in the fifth grade. My teacher is Mrs.Quinn. I live with my brother, Pat, my mom, Cindy, and my dad, Frank. I enjoy reading, dancing, playing the clarinet, and playing the piano. I dance at Dance Works. Ballet is my favorite. I also take tap and jazz. My best friend is Katie, who is also on the ThinkQuest team. I have a lot of fun with her. I have a pet hamster, Sammy, but he escaped a while ago and never came back. I like being with my friends and my family. The country I chose was Italy. I chose to do Italy because it is part of my culture. I am half Italian, but I do not speak Italian. I can say a few things in Italian though. I learned a lot of things about Italy that I never knew before. By focusing on Italy, I learned a lot about my background and my culture. I am also half Irish. You might have guessed that from the picture. I would like to thank Mrs. Donovan, our coach, for helping us through the steps of designing a Web site. She is really nice. I would also like to thank my teacher for letting us out of class. Before I go, I would like to say hello to my mom, dad, and the rest of my family. I love you all. I would also like to say hello to my friends Emily, Carolyn, Kathryn, and Danielle. Thank you for being there for me. You are great friends. |
