Nik is twelve years old. He came to America from Russia on August 21, 2000. The trip took 24 hours and he listened to the radio. Relatives came before Nik. His family moved because they were poor in Russia. Nik thought coming to America was "freaky." He was excited to come here. He didn't bring anything special with him but his father brought a guitar. School is harder in Russia compared to America. In his old country they played soccer. This is how a twelve year old boy from Russia came to America.
