Levi is ten years old. He came to America in 1996 from Egypt. He had some cousins who came before him. Levi's family came to America for religious reasons. Levi thought that it was scary to come to America. The plane ride was long and they practiced their English on the ride. He brought along his teddy bear because it was special to him. At first Levi was curious about America.
In Egypt the schools were outside. They played sports just like here in America.
We also interviewed Levi's mother. She said that her family came to America because it was not safe for her children to stay in a place with lots of wars. They miss all their friends in Egypt. The like the snow most of all here in their new home.
