Aichata

Aichata was seven years old when she came from Togo, Africa. Now she is ten. She came in 1997 and first landed in Washington D.C. She liked flying on the plane. She watched TV and listened to music. It took two days. She brought clothes, shoes and toys with her. Something special she brought over was her cuddle baby. Her first impression of America was that it was going to be fun.

In Togo her father worked at a business and her mother was an actress. Now, in America, both of her parents work at Visionwear making eyeglasses. Aichata said that in Togo they played clapping and stomping games and in school if you didn't get your work done they would hit you!

Aichata said she likes America better than Africa!
