Ceratosaurus
PRONUNCIATION: SER-a-toe-SAW-rus
MEANING: "Horned Lizard"
TIME: Jurassic period

Ceratosaurus was related to the Allosaurus, but wasn't as big. While Allosaurus was 36 feet long, Ceratosaurus was 20 feet long.

A meat- eating dinosaur, Ceratosaurus had a bony bump on its snout ( the only meat-eater to have a horn). It also had bony knobs above each eye.

Ceratosaurus had a very large head full of huge teeth. It walked on two legs and had short arms with four fingers on each hand.
