Sun
The sun is
the hottest object in our galaxy. The sun is also a star. Huge balls of
gas shoot off the sides an the top. Sunspots , dark patches on the
suns surface , are regions of cooler gas caused by disterbancesin the suns
magnetic feild. sunspots have three parts: The Photosphere. This is the
visible surface of the sun. The Penumbra. This is the outer part of sunspots.
The Umbra. This is the coolest and darkest part of sunspots. When the sun
goes behind the moon a solar eclipse is caused. Alougth you can not look
directly at the sun there are other ways to veiw a solar eclipse.
