Prove to friends that they canít count after they mess up in a number sequence.
Prove to your friend that they canít count.
Tell your friend that they canít count and youíll prove it. Your friend may say, "OK" or "youíre on". Then you tell your friend, "This is a fast counting game and you need to be quick. When I stop counting you quickly pick-up where I stopped."
You start the counting, after about 5 numbers you stop. Your friend will mess up and say the wrong number. Your friend just skipped 900 numbers!
Tell your friend the first paragraph of the routine.
Start your number sequence with four thousand ninety-four. Then four thousand ninety-five, four thousand ninety-six, and so on. Stop at four thousand ninety-nine. Your friend will answer, "five thousand". Then you say, "wrong, four thousand one hundred."
How it works:
In this trick, people are lulled into saying the wrong thing.
After a couple of numbers they stop analyzing what you are saying. They are focused on being quick.
