He was married to  Martha Dandridge Custis Washington. Martha didn't like being the firth lady. She would rather being at home were she could do anything she wanted to do. She was the oldest daughter in her family. She was born on June 2, 1731. She was born a plantation near Williamsburg. Her mother and father are John and Frances Dandridge.  She didn't have much of an education. She learned well in taking care of a house hold. When she 18 she was only 5 feet tall. She had dark hair. Before George Washington she was married to a wealthy Daniel Park Custis. they had two babies. The babies died at an infant. Then  Daniel Park Custis died in 1757. After that Martha married George Washington in 1759. they had great happiness together. In 1797 the Washington moved to Mt. Vernon where there were little guests and a lot of friends. Martha died on May 22, 1802. She lived a long and happy life.
