George Washington was born in February 22, 1732 in a town called Westmoreland Country, Virginia. George lived on a farm. When he was growing up he was not rich. He's dad grew tobacco. When he was 11 his dad died. Then Lawrence, George's bother, took his place. After nine years Lawrence died. George was very sad. Then George joined the army when he was 16. He became president in 1789. He served an eight year tearm. He died on December 14, 1799 in a town called Mount Vernon, Virginia.
