Clarinet

As a member of the woodwind, family the clarinet was invented in 1700 by the German flute maker Johann Christopher Denner as a modification to a folk reed pipe.  In 1860 there were two complex system of key system, the Boehm system, and the narrower-bore system.  The Boehm system was invented in 1844 the French builder Auguste Buffet, and is used in most countries.  The narrower-bore system was invented in1860 Belgian maker Eugene Albert, and is a darker sounding system. The modern clarinet is made of ebony. Clarinets have a mouthpiece, a slim body, and twenty side holes. Some famous Clarinet composers include George Frideric Handel and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
