Three Branches of Government

In the United States , our government is divided

into three branches.

1. The Legislative Branch - or Congress, which writes the laws the American people live by.

2. The Executive Branch - Carries out laws written by Congress. The executive branch of our government is lead by the United States President.

3. The Judicial Branch - Decides which laws agree with the constitution, and which laws do not. This branch of the government is headed by the Supreme Court.
