by Sophie Rebecca and Tori were best friends. They went to the same school, did the same homework; really they did everything together. One day, when coming back home from school, Rebecca and Tori were in the elevator in Tori's building. Tori's building was sort of old. There was a rumor that a man who went by the name Jon Dick had, while building the elevators, fallen down to the bottom, never to be seen again. They say that when people are riding the elevator, he comes back as a ghost and kills the people in the elevator. Of course, that was just a rumor, so Tori and Rebecca didn't believe it. Suddenly the elevator came to a halt between floor 9 and 10. "Oh, my gosh! Are we stuck?" said a panicked Rebecca. Before Tori could answer, a cold harsh voice behind them answered, "Yes, you are!" Tori and Rebecca were too scared to move, but Jon had other ideas. "How should I eat you, raw or cooked?" questioned Jon, a playful tone in his voice. Tori, gathering all her courage, said, "We don't want to be eaten at all!" "What? Don't want to be eaten?
Come, now, I guess I will eat you raw then."
"Trying to run from me, eh?" roared Jon, his china white face turning maroon. "I'll show you a thing or two," Jon said, lunging to kill them. "No you won't," screamed Rebecca. "Will you?" "Come here, you stupid girl." Without thinking, taking even herself by surprise, Tori ran to Jon and started to push him back down the crack in the elevator. When Jon was almost halfway down to crack, he said, "Well, if I have to go, so do you." And with that, he began to drag Tori down with him. "Oh no you don't," hollered Rebecca through all the noise. Now you might wonder why nobody heard the screaming and I must say, I'm still asking myself that. So there Jon was, trying to pull Tori down, and there Rebecca was, trying to pull Tori up. So everyone was pulling on Tori,
when it was like an angel from heaven came by. Tori's hand slipped
out of Jon's and Tori and Rebecca tumbled back onto the elevator floor,
while hearing Jon screaming all the way down.
