Howler monkeys live in Central and South America. When they howl they can be heard for miles! Howler monkeys eat leaves and fruit.  Sometimes they hang by their tails while eating.

Woolly monkeys live in the South American rainforests. They enjoy climbing around in the tree tops.  If they fall, they save themselves by grabbing onto a branch with their tail. They eat mostly fruit.

These are only two examples of monkeys in the rainforest.  There are many more and they are all very amazing.

People are clearing the rainforest for wood and farming.  As they do this they destroy monkeys and many other creatures homes.
