Penn and Teller have been doing magic
since 1975. (That's 26 years if you're not good at math). They've
said, "We have been doing magic together for 26 years and we hate it so much,
we could spit at it."
They have made appearances on many TV shows. Some of them
are: The Late Show With David Letterman, Saturday Night Live, The Drew Carey
Show, and The Simpsons.
Penn
and Teller have also written a few books. I have read all of them. My
favorite one was How to Play in Traffic. It is about tricks you can
play on your family on long car trips.
They
have made movies including Penn and Teller Get Killed, Don't Try This at
Home, and Teller's Invisible Thread.
Penn
and Teller do many tricks. I think their most famous trick is the one where
Penn catches a speeding bullet in his mouth. I want to tell you how it
works, but I don't know.
My favorite tricks are the ones where Penn or Teller looks like they will
get hurt like in the pizza commercial, but then they climb out of a box or
pull off a bulletproof vest. People like those tricks because there is a
risk involved. Would you want to see a person jump off a 2-foot high
platform? That sounds pretty boring. People want action. That's why Mission
Impossible made a lot of money the first week it came out. Remember, make
your tricks exciting, but keep them safe.
