Here
are some great tips for setting up your very own magic show. If you have a
magic show, share it with us in the Guest Book
. To set up your stage, you might want to take a small table or piano bench and drape a table cloth or blanket over your stage. That way your audience can't see what you're doing before a trick. Have a place to put all your tricks and organize them. Otherwise you'll be scrambling around at the last second. 1. NEVER TELL HOW TO DO A TRICK. The point of magic is to amaze your audience. If everyone knew how to do it, there would be no mystery. 2. DO THE TRICK ONLY ONCE. The audience will be amazed at what happens the first time. If you do the trick again, they will know what is going to happen and will be more likely to figure it out. 3. PRACTICE BEFORE YOU PERFORM. If you are not comfortable with the trick, do not perform it. Practice in front of friends or someone else before you perform in front of an audience. Say what you are doing as you do it. Try not to act nervous. You're putting on a show! Set up all of your tricks. Practice all of them one more time. You can dress up if you want to. Then PERFORM! |
