David Copperfield gets revenge! He went from high school nerd to a giant success! He just changed his name from David K. to Devino, learned how to pull a rabbit out of a hat and
VOILA!

Now read his story:

David Seth Kotkin was born in New Jersey, on September 16, 1956. He started performing professionally when he was only 12 years old. He was the youngest person ever to be admitted to the Society of American Magicians. At sixteen years he was teaching a course at a University in New York.

In high school, all of the girls dumped him. He was known all over the entire school as 'The Biggest Nerd' and David decided to do something about it. So he learned some tricks that helped him through high school and start a new career.

Everything started in college. He was in the cast of a musical, "The Magic Man." He decided then and there to use his stage name, David Copperfield for the first time. He danced and sang and created all of the magic in the show. The show actually became one of the best shows in Chicago.

After the hit "The Magic Man" David was snapped up by ABC to front a magic series called "The Magic of ABC starring David Copperfield." The shows were so successful that CBS then signed him up so he could perform his current "The Magic of David Copperfield" specials. Each special sees David performing different grand illusions, like walking through the Great Wall of China, or flying.

David's work kept growing and growing and growing and he did more things on stage and made more money and more of his work spread. People have been known to call David Copperfield the Next Houdini. From what we know, it may be true. And that is David Copperfield’s story.
