In my
opinion, card tricks are the best kinds of magic. Not only are they easy to
learn, but they amaze your audience if you do them right. Have fun learning
amazing card tricks.
The
Key Card
Before
you perform this trick, take a peek at the bottom card backstage. Ask someone from the
audience to pick any card from your deck. Then tell them to memorize their card. Cut the
deck. Ask them to put their card on the top half. Put the bottom half on
top of the top half. DON'T SHUFFLE! Look through
the deck for the key card. The card right in front of that is their card.
Counting
Cards
Before you do this trick, be sure that the cards are in numerical order;
ace,2, 3, 4... Tell your audience that the cards can hear their names and
will appear when it is spelled out. Start by saying "A-c-e." right
when you say "e", flip over a card. It should be an ace. Do this
throughout the whole deck. It should end on the last king.
The
Kings
Before
you perform this trick, put the kings on the top of the deck. Pick one out
along with 3 other random cards except for a king. Tell a story about a gang
of kings robbing a bank. Put the 3 random cards in the middle of the deck.
Show the audience the king and put it on top of the deck. Say it is a
lookout. Tell your audience that the sheriff is coming, and the lookout
called them back. Pick up the top four cards. They should be kings.
Faces and Numbers
Now
that we have the cards out, let's use them again. You'll need two kings, two
queens, and two jacks. You'll also need two twos, two threes, and two fours.
Now you make four rows of three. In the top row put a two then a jack then
another two. In the second row put a king a three and then a queen. In the
third row put a three a queen and then a four. In the bottom row put a king
then a four and then a jack. Tell your friend to make the top row all number
cards, the second row all face cards, the third row all number cards, and
the fourth row all face cards. Does that sound easy? Well then tell them
that they can only touch one card. Now, here is the trick. You use the jack
from the middle of the top row to push the middle cards up a row. Then you
put the jack that you used to push the cards in the middle of the bottom
row. Then there are the cards just as you wanted them!
