Canadian History

Welcome to the Canadian history page. This will tell you about the Canadian history from when Canada was formed in the 1500's.
Canada and the untied states share a few geographical features such as the Rocky Mountains, the Interior plains, and four of the Great Lakes just to name a few. The complete history of Canada or the United States can not be studied with out looking at the other.
The Vikings were the first seafarers to discover the New World that was later known as Canada. The vague accounts of their exploits are drawn from their tales, epic stories in promise or verse handed down by word of mouth through many generations. In AD 1985 Norse Seaman sailing from Iceland to Greenland were blown far westward off their course and sited the coast which must have been Labrador. The report of forested areas on the strange new coast encouraged further exploration by Norse colonist from Greenland
