Captain Scott O'Grady is an F-15 pilot who was born in Spokane, Washington. On June 2, 1995, while on a mission to reinforce the no-fly zone over Bosnia, he was shot down by a missile turret stationed on the ground. He had to eject out of his flaming ship and landed in a partially forested area, which gave him good cover. He survived there until rescued, with only ants and grass for food.   Captain Scott O'Grady was rescued six days after he was shot down.
