Scientific Name: Panthera Pardus

Description: Small body size. The leopard's fur color ranges from pale yellow to deep gold. It is covered with black spots.

Length:200 centimeter

Height: 45-80 centimeter

Weight: 30-70 kilograms

Where it lives: Mainly throughout Africa south of the Sahara. It lives in Tropical Forests, Dense Jungles, arid Savannahs, and in rocky mountain areas.

Does it live in a pack: No-they hunt alone.

Reproduction: Females have 3 cubs per litter. She watches over her cubs for 18- 20 months.

Diet: The leopard is carnivorous. It catches many small mammals and birds.

Why it is endangered: The leopard is hunted for fur and attacking livestock. It is also killed for sport in Africa. There are only 100,000 left in the wild.
