Where it lives: They are only found in Brazil. They live in forests that receive 157 cm of rain on a regular basis. Black lion tamarins live in the middle to the lower canopy.

Reproductions: Their babies are born between September and March. All the group members help to take care of the babies.
Diet: Black lion tamarins eat fruit, flowers, small animals, young birds, insects, and eggs.
Why is it endangered? The black lion tamarins are endangered because 92% of their Atlantic Coastal forest has been destroyed. There are 100 of them left. 80 live in zoos.
