Indiana

The Indiana Soybean Board wants to sell folks on barbecued
tempeh, which is a meat substitute made from soybeans. But if you look around
Indianapolis, you might find Pa and Ma's Barbecue at 974 West 27th Street. This
is the oldest, continuously black-owned restaurant in the city. They've been
serving "ribs in the open oven, macaroni and cheese, baked beans and greens
on the steam table, sweet potato pie sitting in the tin on the counter" for
over 62 years. Now that sounds like a place that would make a Memphis kid smile!
