Ticks and Mites -Ticks are small bugs with eight tiny legs that attach themselves to the Iguana's skin. Mites are much smaller than ticks, so they are harder to find on your pet. But if you see a white, powdery dust on your iguana, it probably has mites. The white dust is formed from the mites' droppings. Check with your vet before using any tick and mite remedies.
The Iguana's tail - Perhaps the most common injury to an iguana is the loss of its tail. An iguana can lose its tail by accident or on purpose. The iguana's tail can grow back in a few months. If iguana's body color is dull, it means that it is sick.
Life span- a healthy iguana can live up to 8 years. It depends on what kind of iguana it is and how old it is when you get it.
