It takes 50 to 100 days for a female iguana to lay her eggs. But wait there's more! It takes 90 to 120 days for the eggs to hatch. Most people prefer to not breed their iguanas. When iguanas mate, they attract each other by nodding their heads. Personally I wouldn't get a breeding couple because it would cost more money and more time to wait on eggs to be laid and to be hatched. Then you would have a lot of baby iguanas to take care of or to find homes for. It would take more money because you would have to get extra just about everything.

(Remember the baby iguanas are very tiny!)
