Along with the Colorado Rockies, the Florida Marlins entered the MLB in 1993. Unfortunately they ended up in a tough league and when the National League East was formed, their division was even tougher. Because of that tough division, the Marlins were a very unnoticed team.
However, the Marlins made a point in 1997 by very oddly winning the World Series over the Cleveland Indians. That year they had Kevin Brown, Charles Johnson, and many more players to propel the team. Now the team is slumping, and they have no superstars on the team. If the Marlins can put a strong team together and outduel the Braves and Mets, they've got a shot at the World Series. I have a feeling it will be a very long time before that happens, but there is always a possibility.
